Software Test Engineer (Manual) - Up to 45,000 - Hybrid Working (Southampton)

We are looking for an experienced Software Test Engineer who wants to join a growing team and devised and implement the test strategy, objectives, policies and plans. Our client specialise in bespoke medical solutions and are globally recognised in their field, and are part of an international group with over 2,000 employees across Europe

This is an ideal role for anyone to develop their skills within their manual testing skills, and to help the company transition into and automation environment, where they look to leverage Gherkin/Selenium within the next 6/12 months.

The role of Software Test Engineer is paying up to 45,000 plus 26 days holiday, private medical & dental insurance, flexible working and more.

Responsibilities:

• Assess product requirements, liaise with the development team, create test plans, manual tests and perform manual testing.
• Follow scripts and perform exploratory testing, checking for the quality and accuracy of the software-under-test.
• Perform manual and eventually automated testing.
• Collaborate and contribute to the quality roadmap and test process.
• Conduct risk assessments.
• Ensure traceability of test cases back to user stories.
• Identify key components and processes for improvement and actively recommend improvements.

The successful QA Manager will have the following experience:

• 3+ years of experience in commercial software testing.
• Software engineering, mathematical or scientific degree.
• Strong manual testing techniques.
• A strong team ethic and desire to succeed.
• Customer-oriented thinking.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of best practice software engineering processes and techniques.
• A challenging and inquiring mind.
• Attention to detail, methodical, and tenacious.

The office is based in the Southampton, Hampshire area and ideally, we are looking for someone who could come into the office 2/3 times a week.
