Role: Night Shift Manager

Day rate: 400 - 500 PAYE

Randstad is currently looking for a Night Shift Manager to work with a well-established contractor on a large scale tunnelling scheme on HS2.

Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of night shift workers, including engineers, contractors, and labourers, to ensure tasks are completed according to schedule and quality standards.
• Project Coordination: Coordinate with the daytime project manager to understand project objectives, milestones, and requirements, and ensure seamless transition and continuity of work between shifts
• Work Planning: Develop nightly work plans, assigning tasks and responsibilities to team members based on project priorities and deadlines.
• Resource Management: Manage and allocate resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to maximise productivity and minimise downtime
• Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations, conducting regular safety inspections and addressing any hazards or violations promptly.
• Quality Assurance : Monitor work quality closely, conducting inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and industry standards.
