To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders.

Role of First Line Manager

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• To directly assist Management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance in your designated area
• To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, always maintaining standards of excellence
• Ensuring compliance to Standard Operating Procedures in Ecommerce
• Contribute to the continuous site improvement agenda

Key skills and experience in this role will include:

• Previous and practical experience as a supervisor or Team Leader within a warehouse environment
• Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices
• Previous experience of preparation and distribution of volume orders
• Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports
• A good track record with Health & Safety
• HR experience
• Proven track record in successfully developing colleagues
• Flexible and committed to the contract
• RP WMS experience is a benefit
• Must be able to promote high standards and deliver accuracy within the role
• Will report directly to the Shift Managers.

Working Hours and Shift Patterns of First Line Manager

• Any 5 days out of 7 so weekend work will be involved, Rotational Days and Afternoons, working a total of 40 hours every week

Pay Rates of First Line Manager

• Between 12.26 and 13.40 per hour ( 25,500.00 to 27,875.94) depending on experience
