Design Engineer

Construction Recruitment Group are recruiting.We are seeking experienced Design Engineers and Senior Design Engineers to join our team, focusing on high voltage substation projects. As a Design Engineer/Senior Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of high voltage substations, with a focus on projects exceeding 33kV, including 33kV, 66kV, 132kV, and 400kV.

Responsibilities:

• Design and development of high voltage substation projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
• Preparation of technical specifications, calculations, and design documentation.
• Liaison with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.

Requirements:

• Experience working on high voltage substation projects, preferably with a focus on projects exceeding 33kV.
• Electrical bias is essential.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in relevant design software and tools.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Mostly home-based with the requirement to commute to the office in either Glasgow or Stockport 1-2 days per week if required
