Firmware Engineer

Jenson Fisher have been engaged by our longstanding client to recruit a Firmware Engineer on a permanent, full time basis. Reporting into the Directors, the role of the Firmware Engineer is to primarily design and develop firmware for electronic products using, amongst others, C programming language.Within this fast paced, commercial environment, it is essential that you possess the capability to not only understand the business but understand and contribute to product innovations.Your key objectives will include:• Collaborate with colleagues across the business on projects and products.• Optimise firmware for performance across a broad product range.• Conduct unit testing and system integration testing to ensure firmware reliability and functionality.• Document firmware designs, specifications, and test procedures.• Provide technical support to internal teams and customers as needed.As the successful candidate you will ideally have a Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar and possess proven experience in firmware development. In addition it is essential that you possess first class problem-solving and analytical skills alongside a natural ability, and interest, in staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in firmware development.
