Production Planner


A Production Planner is required for a key role in the Procurement & Supply Chain department at this Manufacturing business based in Liverpool. The candidate will need to bring a high level of organisation and a proactive approach to managing the production schedule.

My client are a well established Manufacturing business who began operations over 50 years ago. They are seeking a Production Planner to join the team in Liverpool.

Description

  • Plan and manage production schedules to ensure 100% on-time delivery of all customer orders.
  • Analyse sales order releases concerning capacity planning and material requirements.
  • Complete root cause analysis for production variances.
  • Interact with sales, project management, and operations to understand demand forecast drivers.
  • Perform supply chain and logistics functions, such as material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution.
  • Create comprehensive reports on material, inventory and production status.
  • Oversee customer orders, deliveries and lead times.
  • Ensure implementation of best practices within the production planning processes.

Profile

A successful Production Planner should have:

  • Demonstrated experience in a production planning role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in production planning systems.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and inventory management systems.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
