Salary: 35,000 - 43,000


Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Flexible working hours available)

Company Overview: Our client is an innovative and rapidly-growing clean energy business located just south of Guildford. They are dedicated to providing sustainable energy solutions and are seeking a Goods-In Manager to play a pivotal role in their growth and operational efficiency.

Role Overview: As the Goods-In Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the receipt, inspection, and organisation of all incoming goods. Your role is crucial in ensuring that the company's supply chain operates smoothly and efficiently. You will ideally have experience with Lean Manufacturing techniques (such as Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen), and a solid background in manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the receipt, inspection, and storage of all incoming goods.
  • Implement and maintain Lean Manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Utilise CRM or WMS systems to manage inventory and track goods-in processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all received goods.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues with deliveries.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in the goods-in area.
  • Train and supervise goods-in staff to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to goods-in operations.
  • Work closely with the production and procurement teams to forecast and manage inventory levels.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve goods-in processes and systems.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a goods-in or warehouse management role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing techniques (e.g., Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen).
  • Experience with CRM or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
