Panel Wireman

Major Recruitment are searching for a Panel Wireman for our client based in Gateshead. This vacancy is full-time and permanent for the right candidate.

Duties include:

• Constructing and connecting control panels, cabinets, and sub-components.
• Performing assembly and wiring tasks.
• Identifying and labeling devices accordingly.
• Fabricating multiple bay enclosures.
• Adhering to panel layout, schematic diagrams, and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Connecting electrical devices while managing cables and terminations.
• Utilizing crimping, looming, and cable marking techniques.
• Installing control panel back-plates with components and trunking.
• Proficient in the application of both hand and power tools.

Hours of work and pay rate:

• Monday to Thursday
• Day shift
• 15.89 per hour, 37 hour week
• Time and a third Friday, time and a half Saturday
• Overtime available as and when business needs require

Successful candidates must :

• Have a City and Guilds or equivalent Level 3 Electrical qualification
• Have previous experience in a similar role
• Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Be willing to travel 4 weeks of the year for international work
