CNC Setter Operator

Role – Machine Operator Location – Newport Salary - £36,000 - £39,000 including shift Earlies Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm (12pm finish on Friday) Lates Monday - Thursday 2pm - 12am  This is an excellent opportunity for a Machine Operator to join an established engineering business in the Newport. This market leading engineering company operates an international network of facilities serving a wide range of industries including aerospace, defence, automotive, power generation, oil & gas, construction, machine building, medical and transportation.  Main responsibilities: Responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machinery within the finishing department (cylindrical / surface / polishing) Carry out routine operator maintenance tasks Responsible for quality of work and level of production Ensure that components are finished accordingly to the quality standards Inspect parts before and after processing to ensure preceding operations have been carried out correctly Good housekeeping (5s) of own work area and contribute to the general upkeep of the working environment Operate in a safe manner and undertake any training necessary to enable you to fulfil the requirements of your position Ensure a high level of communication to employees, managers & colleagues Qualifications, experience and skills: Previous experience of setting and operating manual machines Experience in reading engineering drawings Competent in the use of measuring equipment and measuring techniques A team player with a “can do attitude” and attention to detail Salary / package: Pension – match contribution from 4% – 10% Life Assurance – 2 x annual salary Free parking on all sites Free refreshments provided An entitlement to full pay whilst off sick for a limited number of days (in addition to your statutory sick pay entitlement) 25 days holiday plus national holidays For further details, please contact Nick Sollis – (phone number removed) or email your cv (url removed) Omega Resource Group are an employment agency specialising in opportunities at all levels within the Engineering, Aerospace, Automotive, Electronics, Defence, Scientific, Oil & Gas, Construction and Manufacturing sectors.
