Job description Job Title: Bid Writer and Estimator Location: Monmouth Industry: Building Services (MOD Projects) We are seeking a highly skilled Bid Writer and Estimator to join a fast paced organisation experiencing rapid growth based in Monmouth, working on MOD projects in the building services industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and submitting bids for new projects, as well as accurately estimating project costs and timelines. There is a broad salary range available and will very much depend on level of experience. Below is a general (but not exhaustive) overview of the role. A bonus scheme is in place with the opportunity to grow and develop with funded learning. Immediate starts are available for the right candidates. Responsibilities: * Researching and identifying new bidding opportunities within the MOD sector * Writing compelling bids and proposals that highlight our company's capabilities and experience * Collaborating with the sales and project management teams to gather information and develop accurate cost estimates * Reviewing project specifications and drawings to determine project requirements * Conducting site visits and meeting with clients to gather additional information as needed * Presenting bid proposals to clients and addressing any questions or concerns * Maintaining a database of bid submissions and outcomes for future reference * Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices Requirements: * Proven experience as a Bid Writer and Estimator in the building services industry * Familiarity with MOD projects and requirements would be preferable but not essential. * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and bid management software * A relevant qualification in construction, engineering, or a related field If you have a passion for winning bids, a keen eye for detail, and a track record of accurately estimating project costs, we would love to hear from you.
