Contracts Manager Central London May Start Permanent £60k-70k + package Stone Masonry / Brick Conservation Restoration Specialist Contractor Black CSCS Card (NVQ lvl 6 in Construction Management) / SMSTS / First Aid / - Ideally NVQ lvl 3 in Stone Masonry or similiar trade and or equivalent apprenticeship. The Company The company is a medium to large sized Specialist Main Contractor - that take on projects of Restoration and Heritage nature. They typically cover all restoration and Brick conservation projects. This company has double in size in the last 12 months due to successful tendering and already have a very health pipeline of work for 2024. The Opportunity We are looking for a Contracts Manager who has a proven record of accomplishment completing Restoration and Heritage projects from start to completion. From 500k- 4/5m - but typically 1/2m, whilst managing 2/3nr at this level. The right candidate will be managing a Number of Project Managers sat beneath him, on a visitng basis.The candidate will be expected to programme works, manage design and installation of the project. Set up site, monitor all off site manufacture and ensure delivery of product to meet the contract program and quality requirements. Seeking and agreement of contract variations, and arranging toolbox and train training sessions, are equally as important. Central London The contracts will all be central London based where the Contracts Manager will be required to manage the scheme and co-ordinate specialist sub-contractors on site typically up to 6 month duration programmes. The Candidate We are looking for is someone with Restoration and Heritage experience - ideally someone from a brick conservation or Stone masonry background, who has specifically managed Specialist sub-contractors packages working as the principle Contractor. Packages can be anything from 500k up to there largest 4/5m. Ideally we are looking for someone with a craft NVQ lvl 3 in stone masonry or similiar trade / or equivalent Apprenticeship. Skills / Experience required: • Reporting directly to Visiting Contracts Director, the Contracts Manager will have complete autonomy for all on site activities. • High level of practical knowledge of relevant employment, Health and Safety and general legislative requirements • Excellent Leader with strong communication skills. • Responsible for overall management of the programme. • Adheres to the highest standards of health and safety. • Planning and organisational skills • Proven longevity with previous employers • Proven track record of managing projects from start to completion. • Overseeing management of on-site sub-contractors.
