Engineering Shift Supervisor


We are looking for an experienced Engineering Shift Supervisor to oversee the engineering operations at our clients busy distribution centre in Somerset.   Working with the senior management team you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment, and maintaining a safe working environment.  Reporting to the Site Manager you will both be ensuring that the performance management and KPI's are a focus along with Health & Safety while building on and maintaining relationship with colleagues and the customer.  Key Responsibilities for a Engineering Shift Supervisor Oversee the operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment, including troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise. Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment Monitor production processes to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed. Collaborate with the Senior Team planning the Preventative Maintenance Schedule of the automated material handling equipment.  Attend daily meeting to prioritise and distribute work load.  Lead, coach and develop the engineering team.  Carry out Performance Reviews Manage spare parts and Monitoring inventory and usage Qualifications, Skills and Experience for a Engineering Shift Supervisor.  Recognised Engineering Qualification, ideally HNC  Proven experience in a supervisory role in an engineering environment. Experience managing a team.  Strong technical knowledge of machinery and material handling equipment.. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
