Test & Development Engineer

The business specialises in the development of sustainable electrified propulsion and actuation systems and the successful candidate will play a key role in the contribution to the end results and development. Qualifications: * The successful candidate should be degree qualified in either a mechanical, electrical or control systems engineering or related discipline. Key Responsibilities will include: * Application of technical knowledge and experience to provide innovative engineering solutions to meet a variety of customer requirements * Use of and proficient in appropriate software related to your engineering background * Support Senior technical staff in complex development and test activities * Support FMEA reviews * Prepare test plans and specifications * Specify test rig requirements including instrumentation and fixture tooling * Plan and co-ordinate suppliers and external testing * Specify and prepare data logging equipment, instrumentation and wiring requirements * Supervise technicians with build, test and measurement procedures and supporting documentation * Calibrate instrumentation * Conduct and provide instructions for testing * Running the rigs and test execution * Generate test results, analyse data and compile test reports * Present and communicate technical and commercial information, clearly and concisely, both internally and to customers * Take an active role in the continuous improvement initiatives within the development and test function * Where appropriate, undertake a Project Lead role, leading a small project team to deliver a successful project outcome from both a technical and commercial perspective Please note - Candidates should have full eligibility to work in the UK
