Job Title: Mortuary Assistant Location: Croydon Rate: £13.65 Start date: ASAP Duration: On-going Hours: 37.5h weekly Are you seeking a challenging and fulfilling role in a crucial area of healthcare? We are currently seeking a Martuary Assistant to join leading healthcare establishment's mortuary team. You will play a crucial role in running a safe, secure, and effective mortuary and post-mortem service, ensuring that all deceased individuals are treated with dignity and respect at all times. Key Responsibilities: Participate in manual handling procedures and transfer deceased individuals across the hospital site. Input data into the Cerner computer system and maintain accurate records in the mortuary database. Prepare deceased individuals for formal identification and viewing by relatives. Dispose of clinical waste and maintain cleanliness in the mortuary and refrigeration areas. Work collaboratively as part of the team and participate in the on-call rota. Requirements: Effective communication skills with colleagues and service users. Ability to work sensitively with bereaved relatives and respond empathetically to their needs. Proficiency in manual handling procedures and use of mortuary equipment. Knowledge of data input and record-keeping procedures. Adherence to health and safety regulations.
