Project Planner

An excellent opportunity is available for an Construction Planner to join a growing main civil engineering contractor, the role will have key involvement operating across range of projects nationally, based from their offices in Leeds area. The role will have responsibility and involvement in the day to day management of live / on site project programmes, as well as developing projects at the pre-construction stage. This position will suit those who have already established themselves in a planning role within a either a civils or build construction environment, and are now looking for the next step in their career development to gain more autonomy in their role. The key role responsibilities will involve; * Progress monitoring, analysis and reporting against established project baselines. * Development of information release programmes and schedules. * Short-term construction planning including liaison with supply chain/design team as appropriate. * Progress monitoring & review. * Recognise “Early Warnings” for potential delay and assist in mitigation strategies. * Involvement in pre-construction and pre-tender planning duties / responsibilities. To be considered for the role you should fit the following spec; * Be qualified to Degree or HNC in Construction. * Have exposure / track record to operating in a project planning role within a construction related environment. * Be comfortable communicating at all levels, with the ability to work independently during site visits & reporting. * Have a strong work ethic and be open to further development and training as required. * Hold a full UK driving licence as there will be some site visits. * Hold strong IT skills.
