Chambers Engineer

Phoenix Solutions & Consulting are working directly with a Vacuum Chambers business based in Hastings. Chambers Engineer: We are searching for experienced Manual Millers,On site we have XYZ 4000 & SMX3500/4000 & 5000 Milling Machines and Lathes such as Pro-turn, Harrison, Triumph & Magnum, so previous experience in these machine types would be advantageous. Manufacturing, sourcing and Supplying ranges of Standard and Non-Standard Vacuum components, fittings and vessels within a range of industries utilising vacuum techniques. This includes Semi-Conductor, Research, Energy, Medical and general Industrial vacuum users. Responsibilities: * Manufacture vacuum chambers according to customer specifications. * Manufacture mid-range vacuum components, including fitting, tweaking and some light welding. * Manufacturing of high volume, less complex products as and when required. * Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment and tools. * Ability to work with minimal supervision and to follow instructions. * Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimise chamber design and performance. * Ensuring all jobs issued are completed within the given timescales. * Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing-related issues and challenges. * Ensuring compliance with all aspects of the Health & Safety & Quality Policy. The Person * Previous experience in vacuum chamber manufacturing or a similar role. * Strong knowledge of engineering principles and materials science. * Experience within a fast paced and quick turn-around environment. * Excellent interpersonal and team-player skills. * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. * Competent in fitting and ability to fabricate from own jigs and fixtures. * Competent in reading and working from Engineering drawings. Salary: Negotiable upon experience. £30k - £40k (Possible relocation support provided)
