Container Transport Planner - Southampton - Up to £33,000 Our client, who are a leading specialise in container transport are looking for a Transport Planner to join their team in Southampton, UK As Transport Planner, you will be tasked in moving containers across the UK. Job type: Permanent Hours as a weekly rotation: 06:00am - 16:00pm 07:00am - 17:00pm 08:00am - 18:00pm 09:00am - 19:00pm(1 in 4 Saturdays required - 06:00am to 12:00pm) Package: Up to £33,000 Annual salary review (discretionary) Annual bonus (discretionary). 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays Life assurance cover x3 Group personal pension. Employee assistance programme.Duties & Responsibilities: Dealing with multiple drivers Communicating with ports Booking delivery slots for entry in ports Using TOPS for putting down drivers start times and finish times Chasing drivers for etas and making sure they are on time Rerouting jobs as and when is needed Checking all PODS are matched up with all the correct jobs on the system Speaking to customers on possible delaysEssential: Previous experience as a Transport Operator - Essential Previous experience dealing with containers - Essential Confident and clear communicator - written and verbal Excellent UK geographical knowledge Can work on own initiative Quick and efficient problem solving skills Organised at all times Flexibility to meet the demands of the business WR Logistics are the #1 recruitment partner for all vacancies in the logistics industry.
