Are you passionate about working in the education sector and supporting individuals with special educational needs? Zest is currently recruiting for a full-time SEND Learning Support Assistant on behalf of a school in Halesowen on a full-time basis. This school caters for students between the ages of 4yo-16yo who suffer with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD and Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH). The ideal SEND Learning Support Assistant will experience working with individuals of a similar nature previously, or be able to adapt quickly to the new environment. Responsibilities of the SEND Learning Support Assistant include: * Encouraging student engagement in group settings * Following behaviour management strategies * Adapting and differentiating classroom materials to meet the diverse needs of each student * Encouraging independence, but recognising when a student does need extra support If you are interested in this position or want to find out more, email Chris or apply for the role. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work. Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
