Senior Machine Learning Engineer Well funded BioTech startup Become a crucial part of an innovative biotech company that's using ML to help treat blood diseases faster Work in a research focussed role Fully remote opportunityI’m working with an innovative biotech startup who are developing a state of the art diagnostic device for bloodstream infections using ML & DNA sequencing. They’re looking for a Senior ML Engineer who can come on board and work on some interesting novel research problems with genomic data. What you’ll be doing Working as part of the wider Machine Learning team, you’ll be tackling novel deep learning problems in the context of genomic & DNA data. You’ll be taking academic research and applying different solutions to this problem in order enhance their antibiotic resistance genomic prediction technologies. In this research based role you’ll work with an interdisciplinary team of ML Engineers, Bioinformaticians, Software Engineers, Scientists and Hardware Engineers. This is an exciting role where you can really push the boundaries of ML in this space and help save lives with the technology they are developing.   What experience you’ll need to apply An MRes or PhD in a data or hard science oriented field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Physics, Biochemistry, Biology or similar Experience in an ML Research role working on novel algorithm development or taking complex research and applying it in a work environment An understanding of or a high level knowledge of DNA, cells, genomes or bacteria Experience working with PyTorch or similar deep learning frameworks Strong communication skills to effectively liaise across diverse technical levels.What you’ll get in return for your experience The package for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 (depending on experience), fully remote working with occasional expensed travel to their office What’s next?
