Manufacturing Engineer

Our client is a well-established, world-leading manufacturing business that produces and supplies specialist products to high-profile customers within the MOD, Automotive and Medical industries around the world. Through growth and investment, the company are looking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer, to work alongside the Senior Engineer, providing production support for equipment and processes at their expanding site in Knowsley. As the Manufacturing Engineer, your duties will include: * Create and implement Planned Preventative Maintenance and Total Productive Maintenance schedules for key manufacturing equipment. * Provide reactive breakdown support in a busy process and production machinery environment. * Anticipate any issues to avoid production impact. * Engage in creative problem-solving to address operational issues, including efficiency improvements, process bottlenecks and quality concerns. * Identify or design tools and fixtures to aid production. * Manage key projects and liaise with the Senior Manufacturing Engineer and stakeholders. * Generate and implement additional SOPs. * Order any tooling as required. * Maintain records as required. As the successful Manufacturing Engineer, you will have the following skills/experience: * Have a BTEC/HNC qualification in Mechanical Engineering. * Must have previous working experience as a Manufacturing Engineer – ideally a minimum of 5 years. * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. * Versatile and a self-starter, able to work without supervision. * Excellent communicator. * Ability to plan and prioritise workload to ensure projects are on schedule. * Excellent team player.
