The Role

As a First Miller, you will lead site activities to ensure that our manufacturing, health and safety, and food safety standards meet both company and customer expectations. Your role is crucial in ensuring that their mills and blending plant operate efficiently, effectively, and safely, producing the correct quality of products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret quality information and take appropriate actions to maintain product standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in plant and product quality.
  • Ensure efficient operation across all process areas, including bulk out loading, wheat intake, and blending.
  • Minimise downtime to meet and improve site performance.
  • Ensure product protection throughout the process and compliance with all legal and company standards.
  • Participate in training and development initiatives to enhance team capabilities.
  • Assist in maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness within the milling units.

What We're Looking For Essential:

  • Flexibility and adaptability to change.

  • Resilience and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • NABIM Flour Milling Correspondence Course completion.
  • Basic engineering skills and health and safety training.
  • Food Safety / HACCP qualification.

Desirable:

  • 3rd Party flour milling training.
  • IOSH / NEBOSH certification.
