Site Manager


Our client, established over 70 years ago, specialises in delivering civil engineering infrastructure and earthworks schemes across the West County. Working alongside national tier one contractors, our client is recruiting for an experienced Civil Engineering Site Manager to oversee the day to day operations on projects, from pre-start to completion. As Site Manager you will: * Be responsible for Site Inductions, Toolbox Talks and Daily Activity Briefings, completing all site documentation. * Ensure quality/standard of work by site labour and subcontractors. * Be commercially aware, implementing cost and efficiency savings and manage variations with Quantity Surveyors. * Ensure that all employees and subcontractors are working to health and safety guidelines. * Attend project meetings with senior management and clients. Our client requires a Site Manager with: * Proven experience of working in the Civil Engineering sector. * A solid understanding of health and safety regulations and legislation. * Excellent communication skills and experience of managing operatives and contractors on site. * The ability to work to tight programmes. * Strong problem-solving skills. * A full UK driving licence. * A good understanding of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
