Thermal Vacuum Test Engineer


Our client has an opportunity for a Thermal Vacuum Test Engineer to join them on an initial contract until October 2024. You will be required to join the environmental test laboratory team in Portsmouth. Supporting the test requirements of internal business units and external commercial customers. Role: Thermal Vacuum Test Engineer Location: Portsmouth - onsite requirement Hours: Mon - Fri (with the possibility of shift and weekends 6-2/2-10) Clearance: BPSS required before starting. UKI's only Hourly Rate: Discussed Upon Application What you'll be doing: Perform thermal vacuum testing on space and commercial hardware. Perform temperature/humidity testing on space and commercial hardware. Post-processing data test and reporting. Working to national and international standards. Review test procedures, raise quotations against external customer specifications. Managing calibration of test equipment. Assist with costs and scheduling. Maintenance of the associated test facilities.Requirements: Engineering apprenticeship HNC or Engineering Degree At least 5 years' experience of testing in a laboratory environment. Experience of working directly with customers. Ability to work flexible hours weekend/shift working on a rotating pattern.
