R&D Engineer

Our client, a high-growth Scottish technology company who believe that technology is here to help people to live happier, safer and healthier lives are looking for and R&D Engineer to join their team, based in Stirling with flexible working possible. This is an R&D position with a broad remit and requires the individual to be capable of understanding all aspects of sensor systems including related electronics/mechanics. As an R&D Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Devise and recommend new sensor system solutions for applications Perform detailed research into design and application of new sensors/sensor systems Specify electronic, mechanical and software requirements for sensor systems Experimental testing of prototype systems and reporting results Writing software to drive, investigate and integrate sensor systemsWe are looking for an R&D Engineer who has the following skills/experience: Background in sensor physics with a wide knowledge of potential physical limitations Understand constraints on complex mathematical algorithms Scientific and systems analysis of sensors, sensor systems and their capabilities Knowledge of microfluidics Electronics Hardware fault finding and investigations Software skills - Matlab/Python, good to have C but not essentialWhat you will receive in return: The chance to work on an exciting and unique product for an organisation that truly values every individual.
