Electrical Estimator Job Type: Full-time (Monday – Friday) Salary: £40,000 per year Office Based (Fleet Vehicle/ Fuel Card provided to client meetings) The Role: Steeped in traditional values and proud to deliver a comprehensive personal service to their clients; CC Cousins is the only choice when it comes to a complete facilities management solution. Due to our continued success and growth within our Electrical Department, we are now able to welcome a new Electrical Estimator to our established and friendly team. You should have a professional attitude, with a hard working mentality to meet each challenge directly, that our clients present to us. Our sector is a fast paced, high volume, reactive and planned maintenance electrical works, therefore you will need to be self-motivated, a problem solver, adaptable, and have a willingness to learn new skills & take on challenges, working on your own or as part of a larger team. Electrical Estimator Responsibilities: * Estimation: Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for electrical projects, including materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs. * Liaising with the contracts manager to review outstanding quotes. * Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project objectives and provide timely and competitive bids. Meet on sites to survey works ensuring all requirements and expectations are met. * Review issued specifications, engineers’ information, and other relevant documents. * Evaluation of potential project risk on both commercial and deliverable aspects * Producing and delivering accurate electrical and specialist estimates in-line with both specifications and industry requirements * Bid Management: Manage the entire bid process, from reviewing project specifications and drawings to soliciting and evaluating subcontractor bids. * Ensuring tender submissions are comprehensively reviewed and qualified correctly. * Analyse project requirements and specifications to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions. Determining type, quantity, cost of materials and fixtures needed for each project. * Regular team meetings and tender reports * Reviewing quotes not won and liaising with clients for feedback. * Documentation: Maintain organised records of all project estimates, bids, and related documentation. Working Hours: * Monday - Friday 08:00am - 17:00pm (Overtime paid) * Additional hours as required to meet client and company expectations.
