Structural Engineer

What you’ll be doing: · Develop Planning applications, Building Regs, detailed design for highways/drainage/structures and construction drawings · Produce drawing packages including design calculations for all stages of development to provide the most cost effective solution · Land and Building surveying · Provide structural design advice and expertise to construction projects · Support the delivery team and Client to fulfil its designer’s responsibilities under CDM · Checking compliance with Client specifications and current regulatory standards Your skills and experiences: ESSENTIAL: · Degree/HNC/HND in Civil / Structural Engineering, or equivalent experience · Excellent understanding of the 2015 CDM Regulations · Practical design experience in construction within the industrial sector (client or contractor biased) · AutoCAD proficient · An ability to design from first principles DESIRABLE: · Member, or working towards membership in related Professional Engineering Institution · Working in a defence related industry background · Working in a design consultancy position
