Technical Sales Person

As a technical sales person, you'll use your technical knowledge along with sales skills to provide advice and support on the range of Arrow products, for which a certain level of experience from within the industry is needed.

You'll assist colleagues with bids and tenders for new clients from a technical perspective.

Technical sales people are a key point of contact for clients and provide both pre and after-sales advice. You'll liaise regularly with other members of the sales team and colleagues from a range of departments, such as:

Design Production Purchasing Quality Senior management

There are opportunities for travel throughout the UK and globally attending exhibitions, race events and client visits.

Responsibilities:

Identify new clients who might benefit from company products or services and maximise client potential in designated areas Develop long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their requirements. Negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs. Calculate client quotations and administer client accounts. Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education. Work on after-sales support services and provide technical back up as required. Analyse costs and sales pricing. Prepare reports and keep customer records.

Coordinate sales projects.

Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events. Make technical presentations and demonstrate how a product meets client needs. liaise with other members of the sales team and other technical experts. help in the design of custom-made products.

· Contribution towards and maintenance of the company’s website and social media accounts

· Working to ISO 9001:2015 Quality and Management Systems and promoting Continuous Improvement

What we are looking for:

· Previous experience of technical sales in a mechanical biased engineering environment, preferably Automotive or Motorsport

· A passionate individual with an interest in Engineering or Motorsport.

· Educated to a good standard including Maths, English, and Sciences

· Ability to build and maintain successful relationships with colleagues.

· Demonstrate a high degree of integrity and a consistent approach.

· Effective verbal & written communication skills.

· Flexibility to work outside of normal contracted hours when required.
