JAVA / HP Non-stop Developer

We are partnered with a reputable global consultancy that are recruiting JAVA / HP NON STOP DEVELOPERS or JAVA / TANDEM ARCHITECTS to work on a very exciting LONG-TERM CONTRACT. Role: JAVA / HP NON STOP DEVELOPER OR JAVA / Tandem Architects Rate: Up to £600 per day (inside IR35) Location: London – Hybrid Duration: 6 months (initially – view to extend) Role description: * Experience of developing Java applications that are ran on the HP Non-Stop (used to be called Tandem) Java system. * In depth knowledge and experience with HP nonstop Tandem systems, including Hardware, Software and architecture * Experience of coding Java that is ran on HPNS(Tandem) as we're finding issues and want to understand what other things to look out for. Key responsibilities: * Ensure HP Non-Stop Tandem platform is successfully integrated and operated within the company’s business environment * Strong problem solving skills and the ability to trouble shoot complex issues related to NonStop systems, including Hardware, Software and Networking. * Participate in, support and manage the deployment of applications within test, pre-production and production environments * Installation and testing of new release/products like IBM MQ, Python, NonStop Webserver, Batch definition * NonStop Security management * Database (SQL/MP and SQL/MX) management * System / Application performance analysis * NonStop Network management * Participate to major project (Stilton, ORT, DC 2+2, SCF …) * Perform capacity management and performance analysis * Experience of running and supporting Java on HPNS(Tandem) would be useful Key skills: * A bachelor's degree in computer science or a master's degree in mathematics, Civil Engineering or equivalent (preferred) * A proved experience of min 5 years on the NonStop Environment * Strong knowledge of System Administration and Network Guardian & OSS * Programming language skills: TACL, Python, Yaml, Shell Script * Strong knowledge on the NonStop Infrastructure and tools: RDF/TMF/SCF/Pathway/Safeguard/DSM/SCM/MQSerie, SQL & SQL/MX, XMA, XUA, XCM, SSHCOM, ODBC, ITPWeb…) * Deep knowledge in Performance analysis (Measure, SQL explain plan …) * JAVA is a plus * Able to demonstrate your ability to learn ICT technologies and share your knowledge * Training newcomers on the Tandem technology If you are interested and have the relevant experience, please apply promptly and we will contact you to discuss it further.
