My client is a well established organisation based in Shenley, Herts and due to the location you need to have your own transport.

As part of their expansion, they are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant who must understand double entry bookkeeping

This is a varied role, Office based Monday to Friday 9 am to 5.30 pm based in very pleasant office in Shenley, Herts.

Role responsibilities will include:-

  • Use of a bespoke Accounts System
  • Bought and Sales Ledger
  • Reconciling and posting monthly balance sheets and nominal accounts
  • Reconciling Credit card statements
  • Posting bank receipts
  • Sending copy invoices
  • Dealing with monthly expenses and business mileage claims
  • Posting monthly stock journals
  • Providing documents for the annual Audit process
  • Producing ad hoc reports and analysis as required
  • Intermediate to Advanced level in Excel

This role reports to the Group Financial Controller.

They are seeking an experienced and proactive individual who, once trained are happy to work on their own initiative.

Open plan offices, very low turnover in staff.
