Infinity Employment are proud to be helping our Logistics specialist client to find a Shipping administrator for a new role in Portsmouth . This role is mostly office based and would require handling sea, and road freight shipments from end to end. The successful candidate will also be involved in commercial activities such as quoting and following up with clients. The expectation will be to always provide a personal and professional service.
Main Responsibilities
Maintaining and updating new rosters
Raising change requests
Creating and managing budget reports
Conducting the process to ship code bills and check requests
Logging data related to logistic administration into the shipping system
Liaising and communicating with customers with respect to parts and delivery schedules maintaining client database
Managing and overseeing administrative processes as instructed by the supervisor
Interacting with both internal and external suppliers related to deliveries cover for the organization s departmental colleagues while on leave or absent
Tracking orders in order to ensure timely delivery
Planning and organizing shipments in conformity with product availability and customer requests
Maintaining accurate and updated records of orders, suppliers, and customers
Providing information to clients or customers about the status of their orders.
Person Requirements
Administrative experience with Microsoft Office
Great customer service and communication skills
Good organizational skills and ability to time manage your workload
Attention to detail and accuracy is imperative
Be quick to learn with a can-do attitude
Flexibility and adaptability to change
Resilience and the ability to work under pressure
Experience Requirements
Have experience in dealing with suppliers
Be IT literate and have excellent Excel skills
Have the ability to work well with data
Be organised and have great communication skills both verbal and written
Have a degree background if you do not have supply chain or logistics experience
