Job Title: Service Protection Coordinator (SPCO)

Company Overview: The Shore Group are representing a leading contractor that specializes in heavy civils, waterworks, energy and infrastructure management.

Position Overview: As a Service Protection Coordinator (SPCO), you will play a crucial role in safeguarding service infrastructures during excavation activities. Reporting to the Service Protection Manager, you will oversee the implementation of service protection measures and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting desktop surveys for projects involving ground disturbance or structural work.
  • Liaising with Project Managers, Site Agents, and other stakeholders to coordinate service protection efforts.
  • Ensuring the availability of trained and competent CAT and Genny Operators for accurate service identification.
  • Appointing a Permit Holder and maintaining detailed records of permits issued.
  • Canceling permits for trial hole works upon completion and issuing new permits for main excavation activities.
  • Maintaining the permit register and conducting daily audits to ensure compliance with permit conditions.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for all service identification and protection issues at assigned airport sites.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an internal Service Protection Coordinators Course or equivalent training.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating service protection efforts on construction sites, preferably within airport environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to safety and compliance.
