Quantity Surveyor

An amazing opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier 1 Main contractor, working in their Construction division. The role will be working on a number of high profile projects which will include Construction and M&E projects. The role will be a permanent position, working for a global company, giving great opportunities for career progression within an ever growing, successful arm of the business. The role is based on the Isle of Sheppey 4 days per week with 1 day working from home per week. What will you be responsible for? As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the Mechanical and Electrical Team, supporting and managing the commercial resources of the assigned project to maximise planned gross margin through the placement and control of contracts and subcontracts. Your day to day will include: * Comply with the procurement strategy set out from the beginning of the project. * Valuation and measuring of change. * Advising on legal and contractual matters on orders and change * Valuation of project and subcontract progress. * Undertaking procurement activities including subcontract enquires, tender reviews and order production. What are we looking for? This role of Quantity Surveyor is great for you if: * Qualified, at degree level or HND/HNC (or similar) in Quantity Surveying or suitable experience. * Experienced surveyor in delivering multiple small schemes or medium Schemes. * Clear understanding of all main forms of contract JCT, NEC etc. Salary for the role is up to £70k!
