We are working with a large law firm based in Glasgow and they are looking for someone to help shape their Data infrastructure with the potential to build a team around this position. Responsibilities: Data Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business objectives. Data Modelling: Design and maintain data models for advanced analytics and insights. Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies and compliance procedures. Data Integration: Oversee data integration processes and facilitate algorithm integration into legal workflows. Collaboration: Work closely with legal professionals and IT teams to understand data requirements and provide technical expertise. Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize data architecture for performance, scalability, and reliability. Innovation: Research and evaluate emerging technologies to address legal data challenges. Requirements: Proven experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in the legal or professional services industry. Proficiency in database management systems, data modelling, and ETL processes. Ideally experience with Azure Data Infrastructure. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on implementation.
