The role - Primary Teacher - Ealing Primary school teachers usually teach a broad range of subjects included in the national curriculum, with a particular emphasis on literacy, numeracy, and science as the core subjects of the curriculum. Teaching is a rewarding profession that offers a wide range of opportunities for progression (such as becoming a head of school) and specialisms (for instance, taking on the role of a special needs coordinator in the primary school). In the school year, it can be a difficult job - there are often a lot of preparations to be done both before and after school hours, so it can take many hours to do it all. However, you will be allocated a certain amount of time during the day to plan, and you may be able to get some help from teaching assistants in your classroom during this time.
