Field Service Engineer


Field Service Engineer Reporting to the Service & Operations Manager you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing customers cleaning machines throughout the Midlands and Northwest of the UK, whilst providing the highest possible level of on-site service to customers. Supporting business development by way of service sales to customers where applicable. Field Service Engineer Description of Duties * To maintain customer on site cleaning equipment through both planned service calls and unplanned breakdowns. * Making customers and their needs a primary focus; developing and sustaining productive customer relationships. * To carry out breakdown calls ensuring that the customer is aware of ETA’s and all site booking in processes are followed. * Explore commercial opportunities whilst on customers sites. * Plan daily workload along with the Service controller to ensure breakdown calls are attended within the customers SLA. * Maximise first time fix by ensuring adequate van stock levels. * Affect temporary repairs where possible and safe to do so. * Liaise or Technical Support and Service office to maximise efficiencies and minimise machine down time. * If on-site repair isn’t possible, return machine to the workshop and carry out repairs in house. * To fully comply with Company health & safety rules and on-site requirements by customers, to ensure the safety of yourself and others during the course of your work. This may include the submission of personal information to obtain levels of clearance as required by customers, e.g. DBS check. * Ensure the company vehicle is cleaned and maintained to company policy. * Maintain stock accuracy and minimise stock discrepancies.
