Mechanical Fitter

Position: Mechanical Fitter Location: Gloucester Position: Permanent Working hours: 37 hours Monday to Friday (every other Friday off) 7:15 am to 16:00 Monday to Friday Salary:  £32000 Benefits: 33 days of holidays inclusive of BH, early finish, annual bonus, free parking, stake holder pension, heath care plan, free drinks on site, group life assurance. An exciting opportunity has arisen with my client. They are a successful engineering company that are offering a stable and lucrative career in their purpose build manufacturing facility. They require Mechanical Fitters, to join their growing team. The appropriate mechanical fitter would be responsible for: Mechanical fitting and testing of pumps, mould and tooling. Using Hand tools to fit and assemble components. Using Pillar drills, deburring tools and grinding wheels where necessary. Drilling and tapping of components where necessary. Working to technical engineering drawings Building assemblies and sub-assemblies Requirement: Previous mechanical engineering experience and competence in mechanical fitting, A good understanding of mechanical drawings and schematics A desire to be part of a highly motivated team. Hard working The knowledge of mechanical assembly and fitting from a production or engineering type background is essential and the ability to interpret basic drawings is required.
