Production Manager

We are currently working with a well established company in Gloucester who are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Production Manager Due to the rapid development of our business, we are looking for a talented Production Manager to join our team and take the lead in the next phase of our growth. Job summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our team. As Production Manager, you will report directly to the Managing Director and be responsible for all manufacturing-related activities of this multi-million-pound profitable business. Your primary responsibility is to manage, motivate and develop your team to ensure that the products we supply are delivered on time, within the budget and to the highest quality level. Our client are currently implementing the automotive quality standard IATF 16949:2016 & UKAS ISO 9001, and you will be instrumental in achieving these certifications. Knowledge of IATF or implementing UKAS ISO 9001 would be an advantage. Duties: Your key duties include: · Team management / development · Production planning, including daily, weekly and monthly production schedules · Production and inventory control · Managing and developing manufacturing and production processes · Implementing and developing all the company’s procedures and policies · Monitoring productivity rates, standards and quality control · Implementing & developing health & safety, environmental and company / customer quality requirements · Producing production performance business information and regular liaising with senior management · Site management including infrastructure, production / assembly machinery both procurement and maintenance Skills: · Proven experience in a production / operations management role, preferably in an SME manufacturing or production environment · Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, methodologies, and tools · Effective communication skills, both verbal and written · Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines · Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment · Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyse data and identify trends · Strong problem-solving skills · Previous experience in a similar role at this level preferred but not essential If you are a production or operations professional with a passion for ensuring product quality, developing and manging your own team and leading your own business unit, we encourage you to apply for this position.
