Mechanical Fitter

£38,000 to £44,000 including typical overtime and Flexible dependent upon skills and experience Working hours are 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday although we can flexible if required for the right candidate. Overtime is almost always available during the week (typically 5 to 10 hours totally optional) and at weekends which is all paid at overtime rates some Fitters working up to 15 hours per week are earning c.£52,000 per year. Where work is required at a customer site, additional off-site working allowances and premiums are paid. This is a permanent role within our Manufacturing team, working on assembly, installation (very occasional) international site support for a range of products but mainly based on site in Stoke. Typical tasks include: - Assembly of large, complex and accurate products with multiple parts - Precision finishing and fine dressing of machined components to meet customer specifications - Pressure testing using hydraulic and gaseous methods - Occasional site support and fault resolution - Forklift truck operation - Advanced overhead crane lifting & manipulating components commonly in excess of 20 tonnes in weight You will need to be well organised and experienced, with a breadth of knowledge of Mechanical Fitting techniques, hardworking with the ability to operate calmly under pressure, manage your own priorities to deliver to deadlines and work efficiently and effectively. Attention to detail is a key requirement. Due to the nature of the work, we do, you will be required to apply for and obtain national security clearances which will be arranged by the company.
