QHSE Officer


QHSE Officer  Technique Recruitment Solutions are working with a full service global supplier of innovative and sustainable plastic packaging solutions based in North Norfolk. The QHSE Officer will support the Quality Manager and quality team in achieving adherence to the quality standards according to legislation and procedures. Active involvement in the drive for change and continuous improvement. This role is key to the companies’ achievement of World Class Manufacturing and a ‘zero defects’ culture. The successful candidate will have experience of working within Quality preferably within an FMCG environment. Candidates will also have experience with delivering and being involved with BRC requirements as well as auditing experience Main areas of responsibility · Provide operational support on all aspects of health, safety, environment and quality · To engage closely with operations colleagues to improve and drive QHSE standards · Compile accident and incident reports and undertake incident investigations as required · Performance testing of current products, to ensure adherence to specification ·  Actively participate in root cause analysis for complaints and internal issues ·  Collate accident statistics, categorise accidents and undertake trend analysis ·  Conduct QHSE audits and implement corrective measures as required ·  Prepare collate and review safety related documentation submitted by both internal and external stakeholder’s including - Safety Plans, Training documents ·  Develop QHSE related toolbox talks ·  Implement proactive and reactive safety measures as required ·  Undertake QHSE induction ·  Undertake compliance audits ·  Undertake site/office related risk assessment’s where required ·  Ensure site compliance with the company Health and Safety policies and procedures ·  Maintain the management system and identify and implement initiatives to improve it including all procedures, processes, safe systems of work, and Risk Assessments ·  Active involvement in promoting a proactive Quality & Safety Culture to the site, including the H&S committee.. ·  Provide training ( including inductions to new starters) and support to quality assurance team on systems, policies,  procedures, and core processes as required. Knowledge, Skills & Experience Candidates are expected to have, or eventually progress towards the following: ·  Qualified/ significant experience in Internal Auditing ( ISO9001/ISO (phone number removed)).SPC & MSA techniques. ·  NEBOSH – Health and Safety at work ·  Has experience of product safety -  understanding the principles of HACCP, ·  Experience in product safety risks and the controls in place to BRCGS  and/ or experience of ISO9001 or ISO 14001 quality management system requirements ·  GCSE English and Maths essential or equivalent level ·  Problem Solving techniques/ RCA. ·  Has good knowledge of current health and safety legislation
