Job Title: Full time SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Rochdale M24 1FL  Salary: £(Apply online only) Per annum (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications) May 2024 – July 2024 About the school and role This friendly primary school in the Rochdale area is seeking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to work 1-1 with pupil with challenging behaviours. Ideally you will possess previous experience within a similar role to this as it is a challenging role due to the nature of the requirements. You will provide additional support to the student in Ks2 Year 5, above all you must have a genuine passion for supporting children with special education needs to help develop their emotions and provide strategies to eliminate triggers. Key responsibilities Encourage students to interact with their peers and engage in group work Working 1-1 and in small groups with students with Special Educational Needs Implement and follow EHCP’s and Behaviour plans for the student(s) Prepare materials that will cater to the individual needs of the child Requirements The requested skillset the desired Mental Health Support Assistant will require; Will have recent experience working with children in similar roles Be patient and flexible as no day is the same Have a passion for Mental, Health and wellbeing with the ability to plan and deliver playful, and hands on experiences for children Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of educational professionals Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults.
