Senior Bookkeeper


A successful growing accountancy practice are currently looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to join their bookkeeping team within their Taunton office. Please find more details on this exciting opportunity below.  Responsibilities: Manage the bookkeeping processes for a designated client portfolio. Prepare financial reports, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets. Supervise and train junior bookkeeping staff. Preparing and submitting VAT Returns Ensure adherence to accounting principles and best practices. Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting software and technologies. Qualifications and experience  Minimum 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting. Proven experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero). Cloud knowledge is a bonus.  Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word). Excellent time management and organisational skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
