Mechanical Shift Production Technician

Elevate your career with a pivotal role as a Mechanical Shift Production Technician, with a competitive salary of £36,700 inclusive of shift allowance. Situated in the industrious heart of Rotherham, this position offers a unique shift pattern designed to balance work and personal life. WEEK 1 consisting of Tuesday to Thursday 12-hour day shifts, followed by an 8-hour day on Friday. WEEK 2 - transitions to night shifts from Tuesday to Thursday, each spanning 12 hours. Role Essentials: * Report directly to the Team Leader * Execute maintenance and troubleshooting tasks to ensure smooth production operations * Responding to, coordinating, and resolving breakdown situations, and the responsibility for carrying out reactive and preventative maintenance * Adhere to health and safety protocols diligently * Collaborate with the production team to meet targets and enhance efficiency * AD/HOC tasks Skills and Experience: * Proven experience in a mechanical maintenance role within a production or manufacturing environment * Basic hydraulic, welding and pipefitting * Strong understanding of mechanical systems and machinery * Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively * Excellent communication skills to liaise with team members and management * Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development Qualifications: * Recognised Mechanical apprenticeship (BTEC Level 3 or equivalent) * Additional certifications or training relevant to the role are advantageous If you possess the skills and experience outlined and are ready to take on a challenging yet rewarding role, please submit your application to join a team where your contributions are truly valued.
