Internal Account Handler


We are recruiting for one of our clients who are based in West Yorkshire, who have been recognised as an industry leader. They have a strong portfolio of B2B clients across the UK, specialising in construction, demolition, plant hire machinery. Offering a customer focused service across hire and repair services.

Due to natural growth our client is looking for an Internal Account Manager to join a friendly and productive team.

The role of Internal Account Manager is to serve as the primary point of contact for customers. This position entails a dual focus: nurturing existing customer relationships while acquiring new clients. In addition to customer interaction, Internal Account Management involves providing essential support to the Sales Director through telesales, scheduling appointments, account management, and follow-ups after customer visits. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of 200 accounts, with a primary focus on onboarding and growing both new and existing accounts through proactive engagement and personalised service.

Ideally you will come from a construction background or have knowledge of plant hire machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Look after existing customers and provide world class quality customer experience at every level - Handle customer requests professionally and efficiently.
  • Handling Incoming sales calls and maximising the opportunity.
  • Quote Follow Up.
  • Proactive Outbound Calls.
  • Visit Booking for BDM.
  • Visit Follow Up.
  • Main accurate records on CRM

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience managing key accounts, ideally within construction
  • Preferred construction background or knowledge.
  • Excellent PC skills - Word, Internet, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, database management, desktop publishing, use of CRM.
  • Excellent communication, time management and organisation skills
  • Collaborative, contributing to team success.
  • Client focus, demonstrate integrity when managing clients' expectations and delivery
  • Open communicator with people at all levels, with strong influencing, relationship building and networking skills.
  • Committed team player.
  • Confident decision maker.
  • Willingness to work flexibly as required.
