Shift Engineer

SDUK's brands include the Nation's favourite cheese brand Cathedral City plus other well-known butter & spreads (Clover, Country Life, Vitalite, Utterly Butterly), functional ingredients and dairy free products.

Shift Pattern: 4x4 working days and nights. 6:45 - 7.

Salary: GBP55,485.36 per annum

This additional headcount will be supporting our prepack 1 facility (totaling 3 packing lines) in the packaging of our Cathedral City cheese and private label products.

You will make contributions that matter by

Developing & maintaining an integrated cheese packing operation to agreed health and safety, quality, engineering and technical standards in line with the company's Manufacturing Performance System (MPS).
Maintaining multiple lines of automated vision systems, slicers, scales, bagging and packaging equipment.
Optimising line performance to meet and exceed Key performance indicators in the areas of equipment reliability and efficiency.
Ensuring appropriate information is captured on plant performance, maintenance activities to drive a predictive approach to tasks and to prevent equipment failures.

You are best suited for the role if you have

A strong multi-discipline engineering background preferably in an FMCG environment.
The ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, manage priorities and are able to identify issues and solutions using your own initiative, coupled with a desire to make a difference.
The ability to carry out fault finding of PLC, 3PH and 24v systems.
Lean manufacturing tools and techniques experience.
Knowledge and experience of working in a TPM environment.
The ability to use CMMS and interpret data to increase plant efficiency and identify top loss.
