Building Surveyor

Our client, a leading company in the rail industry, is currently seeking a skilled Building Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting and surveying buildings, ensuring they adhere to industry standards and regulations. Experience in Building Surveying, particularly within the rail sector, is essential for success in this position. Key Responsibilities: Conducting thorough inspections of buildings to assess their condition and identify any defects or areas of concern Preparing detailed reports outlining survey findings, including recommendations for repairs and improvements Collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement maintenance plans for buildings and structures Monitoring and overseeing construction and renovation projects to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations Providing expert advice and guidance on building regulations and compliance issues Assessing the feasibility of development projects and providing technical expertise Liaising with clients, contractors, and other professionals involved in the design and construction process Keeping up to date with industry developments and changes in building codes and regulations Job Requirements: Solid experience in Building Surveying, with a focus on rail projects Proven knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in surveying and reporting Proficient in using surveying equipment and software Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is highly desirable If you have a passion for building surveying and thrive in a dynamic environment, then this opportunity is perfect for you.
