Sewing Machinist

We have a great opportunity for Sewing Machinists in Chard. Successful candidates will be offered full-time shifts on a permanent basis. Products: Furniture Covers Salary: From £12ph based on experience Hours: Full-time (37.5hrs per week) Location: Chard, Somerset Immediate start for suitable candidates! DUTIES FOR THE SEWING MACHINIST ROLE: Follow operating instructions for the Industrial Sewing machines: Twin needles, Overlock. Complete requirements for sewing sofas, chairs and bed headboards, on a production line or from start to finish. Draw threads through needles and adjust machine functions to meet the requirements of the sewing project. IDEAL SEWING MACHINIST CANDIDATE: Good attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination Previous experience in operating Industrial Sewing Machines: Twin Needle, Overlock. Experience in sewing leather and heavier-duty cotton for sofa covers and furniture.
