Distribution Operative / FLT Driver

Our client is a well established firm based in Loughborough Every member of their team contributes to their mission, making a real difference, every day. They are looking to recruit a distribution operative / FLT driver to join them, temporarily initially however could lead to permanent for the right candidate Job Responsibilities The operator is involved in the general day to day running of the distribution centre on a shift pattern based on business needs, this includes: * Forklift truck operation – counterbalance, reach truck & VNA. * Loading & unloading of vehicles * Picking & processing customer sales orders. * Maintaining supply to production * Goods receiving of inbound deliveries, including control of pharmaceutical materials * Continuous use of WMS * Maintaining a high level of compliance * Maintaining a high level of safety * Support production and other areas to ensure priorities are understood and maintained Required Skills & Experience * Good standard of English and Maths (Minimum GCSE Level 4 / grade C or equivalent) * Forklift licences from an affiliated body (e.g. Jungheinrich, Mentor) * Good IT skills * Good communication, influencing and team working skills. * Can think problems through in a logical and analytical manner. * Self-driven, proactive, with a continuous-improvement mindset. * Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production demands. * Hands-on attitude and willingness to learn new skills. Preferred Skills & Experience * Working within a distribution centre. * Experience of using a Warehouse Management System (ideally Microsoft Dynamic 365). * Understanding of the requirements of GMP/GDP. * Good eye for detail. * Multilingual This role involves working a double day shift, 06.00 - 14.00 / 14.00 - 22.00 on a weekly rota
