Nursery Practitioner

We are working with a newly acquired nursery that looks after children up to 5 years old in Lewisham, looking to add a Nursery Practitioner to their team. You will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for young children, supporting their development, planning, and implementing age-appropriate activities. This nursery believes that their goal is to inspire a lifelong love of learning. Responsibilities Work closely with parents and carers to ensure a rich experience for all the children under your care, providing regular updates on children's progress Create an atmosphere of trust, security, and comfort Implement an innovative, age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with modern teaching methods and approaches Regularly observe and assess each child's development, behaviour, and needs. Keep detailed records and share progress with parents and caregivers during parent-teacher meetingsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:  Minimum of a Level 3 childcare recognised qualification or equivalent (e.g., CACHE, NNEB) Paediatric First Aid certification Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check Strong knowledge of modern teaching methods and technology integration in educationDiscover a world of career opportunities with Nursery People, the specialist in nursery staffing.
