Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer You’ll be part of a team which will be responsible for delivering stainless steel fabrications and packaged skid systems into a variety of industries such as the Utilities, Food, Beverage and Pharmaceuticals. The business is currently developing new water filtration products and process systems and requires a skilled engineer to support the businesses design requirements. To be successful in this role you will be a skilled Design Engineer with a desire to be challenged and to contribute towards the success and growth of the business. Responsibilities You will be responsible for supporting the business needs in the following areas * Generation of detailed drawings for manufacture (AutoCAD/SolidWorks) * Design and detailing Tanks, vessels, pipework & packaged skid systems for Fabrication * Design and detailing Access walkways and gantries in accordance with BSEN1090 for Fabrication * Generate, update and develop Process Flow & Instrumentation drawings * Creation of BOM for generation of Cost Estimates, * Creation of operating manuals and CE/UKCA documentation * Assist sales team with presentations, product development and customer interaction * Produce Technical Specifications and standard operating procedures * Produce Project documentation and review products to ensure they meet required standards To carry out this role successfully you will have experience as a design engineer in the following fields * Design of Stainless-Steel fabrications within the food, Beverage, Pharmaceutical and utility industries with a technical knowledge of fabrication and Sheetmetal work processes * An accomplished operator of AutoCAD and or SolidWorks packages * A good understanding of Process Equipment and in particular water filtration * A reasonable amount of experience within the Chemical & Process Engineering industry * Experience of a production environment, workshop, on-site installations and plant operations * You will be an accomplished user of all Microsoft programs and an able communicator in both written and verbal forms Package * £(Apply online only) per year * Pension contribution * 25 days holiday + bank holidays
