Nursery Manager - Maternity Cover

Poppies Holmer Green Day Nursery & Pre School are looking for a Nursery Manager - Maternity Cover to join their nurturing nursery. Are you looking for a new challenge? Are you interested in a supporting role? Look no further!

As Nursery Manager you will need to provide the highest standard of compliance, care and education for children and effectively manage daily operations of the nursery, including positive partnerships with staff and parents.

This role is working 40 hours per week, various shifts patterns between the opening and closing times of the nursery 7:30am-18:00pm. This nursery is open all year round and is not a term time only role. You will need to have a full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification and leadership experience. Salary GBP39,000 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.

As Nursery Manager, you will:
Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met throughout the nursery.
Ensure that company policies and procedures are embedded, applied and adhered to by all.
Facilitate inspections by regulatory bodies and implement any recommendations.
Embed effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and identify training or development needs for staff.
Ensure that all children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources which are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
Promote a culture of self-evaluation and reflective practice throughout the nursery.
Manage any complaints or concerns raised in a thorough and timely manner and inform senior management.
Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file.
Participate in all activities related to nursery publications, advertising, public relations, the web site, and other marketing activities designed to promote the nursery.
Promote positive relations with an approachable manner and time to listen to your team.

As Nursery Manager, you will need:
Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
Over 1 year's experience of working in Early Years - Essential
Sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
Over 1 year's experience of working in a management position - Desirable
Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership - Desirable
Experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding - Desirable
